30 October 2026 –The extraordinary journey through the Terre di Canossa, along the ancient roads of the Great Countess Matilde di Canossa, Queen of Italy in the 12th century, returns with an exciting new chapter from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May 2027.
The 2027 edition will be set in Punta Ala, an enchanting location where the Maremma meets the sea and looks toward the Island of Elba. Punta Ala, in the heart of Castiglione della Pescaia, is one of the most elegant and exclusive seaside resorts in all of Tuscany. Located on the southern promontory of the Gulf of Follonica, the town is famous for its dense Mediterranean scrub, its long stretch of fine golden beach, and the sailing regattas hosted by the Yacht Club Punta Ala, the birthplace of Luna Rossa. Its beauty and thousand-year history make it an ideal starting point for Terre di Canossa Rally 2027.
The crews will stay for three nights at the Gallia Palace Beach Golf Spa Resort – Relais & Châteaux, a five-star establishment set in a highly evocative setting between the coastline and the majestic pine forests. A Dolce Vita location that, with its glamour, excellent services and elegance, will be the starting point for the three stages.
Welcome and registration will take place on Thursday 13 May.
The driving route will offer the crews an exclusive experience of about 600 km, through coastal landscapes of rare beauty, untouched mountain passes and historic villages.
The three stages will reveal the fascinating lands once ruled by the Etruscans: from Punta Ala to the Argentario, exploring the wild Maremma and the lush vineyards of Bolgheri. These regions offer a perfect blend of driving pleasure, historical and cultural richness, and an outstanding gastronomic tradition.
Terre di Canossa Rally is a Supertourist Regularity event for historic cars up to 1987, with some exceptions for more recent cars up to 2000 and for modern supercars from 2001. The event features thrilling timed trials, average speed trials and new challenges that will put the participating crews’ skills to the test.
