May 5, 2026: The Terre di Canossa Rally, organised by Canossa Events in collaboration with Scuderia Tricolore for the sporting component, was established in 2011. It is a Supertourist Regularity event included in the calendar of the Italian motorsport federation, ACI Sport, for historic cars and selected supercars, attracting an international field.
The event is not only about sport, but also—above all—about culture and tourism: an extraordinary journey along the thousand-year-old routes of Matilde di Canossa, discovering wonderful landscapes, historic art cities, unspoilt mountain villages, and charming seaside towns.
Particular emphasis is placed on hospitality: a gastronomic journey that, through the exploration of traditional recipes and local produce, will showcase the finest culinary traditions of the regions visited. A natural outcome is the promotion of these areas on an international level, highlighting their history, culture and outstanding excellence, from gastronomy to craftsmanship.
As tradition dictates, the programme features four unforgettable days, with this year’s route based in Forte dei Marmi, the pearl of Versilia, for three driving stages along some of the most captivating roads between Tuscany and Liguria, from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 May. Completing the “Made in Italy” experience are evening events where art, culture, music and fine food come together.
The 2026 edition will be defined by the theme of the “Bicentennial of Collodi”, with moments throughout the event dedicated to celebrating the great writer Carlo Lorenzini, author of the timeless tale The Adventures of Pinocchio. Collodi—Carlo Lorenzini’s pen name—derives from his mother’s birthplace, the charming village of Collodi, one of this year’s most eagerly anticipated stops.
The gathering on Thursday 7 May at the Augustus Hotel & Resort in Forte dei Marmi will officially launch the 2026 edition. The first stage, on Friday 8 May, will be devoted to the marble of Carrara roads, the Magra Valley and the Cinque Terre route, passing through iconic locations such as Massa, Carrara, Sarzana, La Spezia (where lunch is scheduled), and Lerici.
The second stage, on Saturday 9 May, will explore Garfagnana, the Serchio Valley, Valdinievole and the Lands of Pinocchio, passing through Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Borgo a Mozzano and the Devil’s Bridge, Collodi and the Pinocchio Park, Montecatini Terme (with lunch at the Tettuccio Thermal Complex). Final stops include Lucca, Camaiore and Viareggio.
The third stage, scheduled for Sunday 10 May, will focus on the Lower Valdarno, with stops in Pisa, Pontedera and the Piaggio Museum, Calci and its Charterhouse, and Massarosa. The final arrival is scheduled at the La Canniccia Motor Club in Forte dei Marmi.
This year once again, the event will be “zero emissions” in terms of greenhouse gases: since 2015, it has voluntarily adopted the CarbonZero protocol, implementing environmentally responsible organisational choices and fully offsetting CO₂ emissions through the purchase of certified sustainability credits from the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
