Terre di Canossa – Day 2

April 20, 2024: Setting in the morning on a decidedly scenic route, the participants of Terre di Canossa 2024 embarked on a wonderful journey through iconic Italian landscapes.

Carrara marble, famous across the globe, framed part of the morning’s route as the historic cars navigated their way through vast quarries to reach the sea. A lunch break in Porto Venere offered a taste of the approaching summer alongside exquisite Ligurian dishes.

A notable detour was the passage through the Naval Base of La Spezia, followed by the journey on the “high road” of the Cinque Terre coastline, heading to Lerici for a break. Along the route, subtly hidden signs inspired by the Puccini Festival – the common thread of the first two days of the event – were spotted and logged by the teams via Race-link.

Another skill test greeted participants upon their return to Forte dei Marmi, in Piazza Marconi, setting the stage for the lifestyle moment. The day’s winners ascended the podium with Luigi Orlandini and Forte Dei Marmi Vice-Mayor Andrea Mazzoni at the Bambaissa Beach Club, where the night unfolded with dinner and drinks accompanied by the music of the violinists from QArt. “Find the Opera” game winners: crew number 61, Curd Vandekerckhove and Patrick Lsmmens from Belgium. Crew number 7 was the best in Forte Dei Marmi trophy: directly from Argentina, Guillermo Acevedo and Amalia Saenz.
